As followers of Jesus Christ, one of our greatest duties is also one of our greatest privileges: committing to meet together as a body. At Anchor, our main meeting time is our Sunday morning worship service. In order for you get a feel for our worship service, we would like to answer a few frequently asked questions:
What is your Sunday morning schedule?
Our regular Sunday morning schedule begins at 9:00 am with our Bible study classes which we call Life School. These classes are spread throughout the campus. Life School is followed at 10:00 am by a built-in time for fellowship which we call Connection Time. Coffee and juice are provided during this time in the Connection Room located in the Worship Center. Connection Time is followed at 10:30 by our worship service which takes place in the sanctuary of our Worship Center. Our worship service ends at noon.
What is Anchor’s worship style?
We desire to honor the Lord in all that we do in worship. In music, there is a balance that emphasizes the message of the music over the instruments. Our general style of music could be classified as “conservative contemporary.” In giving, we ask that people give themselves to the Lord first; then, they may give as God directs. Love offering boxes are located by each of the back doors in our sanctuary. In preaching, we desire to lift up a standard from the Word of God which results in heart change.
What is considered proper attire?
We encourage you to come as you are. Whether you walk in with a coat and tie or jeans and a t-shirt, you will be welcome. Since God focuses on the heart and not the appearance, we aim to do the same.
Where do I go once I get to Anchor?
As you drive onto our campus, you will see a building with a green metal roof ahead of you on the left. That is our Worship Center. Just inside the front doors, you will find a reception desk being manned by people who would love to meet you and point you in the right direction. |
