What are HOME Groups?
HOME (Homes Open for Ministry and Encouragement) Groups are small gatherings, typically 6-12 adults, that meet once a week in a host home for fellowship, prayer and biblical discussion. Each HOME Group is led be a Shepherd that has a love for God and a love for people.
Why HOME Groups?
Small intimate gatherings provide the best context for life change. These groups present a natural setting for accountability and honesty. HOME Groups also provide an opportunity for our Shepherds (lay pastors) to exercise their spiritual gifts. This also provides a higher level of care for the entire congregation. It would be impossible for our Pastoral Staff to provide adequate care to the congregation without the help of our Shepherds.
What happens in a HOME Group?
Care - we take time to build relationships that last Aware - we have Bible centered discussion Prayer - we take time to talk to God Share - we take time to be open about our lives Fellowship - we take time to laugh and eat!
"You are members of God's very own family...and you belong in God's household with every other Christian." (Eph. 2:19)
"We are all parts of Christ's Body, and it takes every one of us to make it complete, for we each have different work to do. So we belong to each other and need all the others." (Rom. 12:4-5) |
