The Grayson Area Business Leaders (GABL) is a ministry of Anchor Church with the following purpose: to provide the business leaders of the Grayson area with an opportunity to be encouraged, build relationships, and receive leadership training all in a distinctly Christian environment.
We meet quarterly to enjoy a free catered luncheon that will feature networking opportunities and a quality speaker. There will also be training opportunities provided throughout the year. Our next meeting will be a luncheon on Wednesday, April 24, at noon. Our speaker will be Paul Allen, the leader of our GABL ministry.
The GABL has been an active ministry of the Grayson area since 2002 and has consistently received positive reviews from business leaders in the area. Please revisit this site for updates and check out our GABL page on Facebook. We look forward to helping introduce you to Grayson’s best kept secret!

One of the ways we connect with our community is by providing tutoring to students of the Archer and Grayson Clusters of the Gwinnett County School System. Volunteer tutors from Anchor Church commit to serving students who are struggling with various subjects, as well as helping with preparation for milestone exams that occur throughout the school year. The tutoring ministry is offered free of charge.
Tutoring is held at Anchor Church, and parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from the church. Sessions are one-hour long and take place on Wednesdays between the hours of 4:30 and 8:30 p.m., according to the tutor’s availability. We would like to serve everyone who applies for assistance; but unfortunately, this is not possible because of the limited number of tutors.
Parents of students in grades 1 – 12 can print an application form from this website or can obtain an application through the Anchor Church office or the school counseling offices of the Grayson and Archer Clusters. Tutoring applications will be accepted beginning August 27, 2012. Submission of the completed application form, along with all attached required documentation, is the first step in the process of obtaining tutoring assistance. Completed applications are to be returned to either the counseling office of the school or the Anchor Church office. Applications will not be considered until all required documentation is received and attached to the application.
Students are placed with appropriate tutors when a tutor with expertise in the area of need is available. Students who have previously been served through our tutoring program for two years will be placed on our waiting list and will be served only if there are no other students seeking tutoring for that specific grade and subject area. When possible, preference will be given to students who were on the waiting list last school year and who were never served. |
Join us for Anchor's annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 13, from 4-7 p.m. For the second year in a row, we will be meeting in Grayson Park.
