As followers of Jesus Christ, one of our greatest duties is also one of our greatest privileges: committing to meet together as a body. At Anchor, our main meeting time is our Sunday morning worship service. In order for you get a feel for our worship service, we would like to answer a few frequently asked questions:
What is your Sunday morning schedule?
Our regular Sunday morning schedule begins at 9:00 am with our Bible study classes which we call Life School. These classes are spread throughout the campus. Life School is followed at 10:00 am by a built-in time for fellowship which we call Connection Time. Coffee and juice are provided during this time in the Connection Room located in the Worship Center. Connection Time is followed at 10:30 by our worship service which takes place in the sanctuary of our Worship Center. Our worship service ends at noon.
What is Anchor’s worship style?
We desire to honor the Lord in all that we do in worship. In music, there is a balance that emphasizes the message of the music over the instruments. Our general style of music could be classified as “conservative contemporary.” In giving, we ask that people give themselves to the Lord first; then, they may give as God directs. Love offering boxes are located by each of the back doors in our sanctuary. In preaching, we desire to lift up a standard from the Word of God which results in heart change.
What is considered proper attire?
We encourage you to come as you are. Whether you walk in with a coat and tie or jeans and a t-shirt, you will be welcome. Since God focuses on the heart and not the appearance, we aim to do the same.
Where do I go once I get to Anchor?
As you drive onto our campus, you will see a building with a green metal roof ahead of you on the left. That is our Worship Center. Just inside the front doors, you will find a reception desk being manned by people who would love to meet you and point you in the right direction.

Anchor 101
Anchor 101 is the basic introduction to our church and its vision. It’s a class that is held every Sunday morning at 9:00 am in our Senior Pastor’s office. We acknowledge that God is still in the process of directing us day by day, and we have not “arrived”. But, the material we will cover is a good picture of where we are as a church and hopefully will answer many of your questions. These classes are a prerequisite for Anchor Church membership.
Anchor 101 is divided into four sessions of an hour each and each session stands alone. 1. Our Salvation (What God has done for us) 2. Our Statement (Why we exist as a church) 3. Our Strategy (How we fulfill our purpose) 4. Our Structure (When & where we fulfill our purpose)
Upcoming Events
Anchor Summer Movie Night, June 7th
Anchor Summer Movie Night is one of our most successful annual outreaches to our community. We will be showing “Wreck it Ralph” on the lawn at dark in Grayson City Park, and there will be inflatables and concessions. Invite a friend, make a friend, either way this will be a great way to launch our summer of ministry. The fun starts at 7 pm.
Dinner and a Marriage, June 21
Dinner and a Marriage will be a unique look at marriage using the format of the TBS show "Dinner and a Movie" that you may have seen years ago. A four course meal (each course creatively themed to complement the subject) will unfold throughout the evening amid movie clips and teaching that will give you fresh perspective.
Whether you are struggling in your marriage and need new hope, or you have a good marriage and want it to be great, this evening is for you. For only $20 per couple and little over two hours of time invested, your relationship can change for "as long as you both shall live".
You will laugh, you may cry, you will dine well, ... you will not forget this evening.
Attention all men! Join our fresh approach to men's ministry: Momentum. Every Thursday, all men are invited to meet at 6:30 am for a morning of fellowship, encouragement, and prayer. We have recently moved this meeting to our worship center to create more space for the men that are coming. Please join us! For more information about this activity, please contact our office.
